Tysons, VA — Veylo, the AI modernization platform for mission-critical systems, today announced it is pursuing FedRAMP High (Class D) certification for the Veylo Platform. Through a strategic agreement with a FedRAMP High certified platform provider, Veylo will inherit an established set of federal security controls and continuous monitoring, shortening its path to serving agencies with sensitive unclassified workloads as a cloud service. Veylo expects FedRAMP High availability for federal customers in early 2027.
Modernization that stands up to federal security review
Everyone can generate code now. Getting a mission system through testing, data migration, deployment and an ATO is harder, and that is where federal modernization programs stall. Across government, agencies are running mission-critical software tools that are extremely outdated, and agency CIOs are being asked to replace and/or cut the cost of maintaining those systems within a single budget cycle.
The Veylo Platform orchestrates AI agents across the full modernization lifecycle in one governed environment, from legacy discovery and the Common Application Blueprint through build, testing, data migration and deployment. Agency experts stay in control, validating the work at every stage. The evidence that authorizing officials need, including requirements traceability, system design documentation, and ATO-ready artifacts are generated as the system is built, rather than assembled at the end. Agencies own the source code from day one.
FedRAMP High will enable agencies to use a cloud service for systems that handle their most sensitive unclassified data, including law enforcement, financial and health information. By building on an established FedRAMP High foundation rather than standing up a separate compliance environment, Veylo can bring the same platform its commercial and state customers use to federal agencies faster, with continuous monitoring in place from day one.
Available to agencies today
Agencies do not need to wait for FedRAMP High to start working with Veylo. Today, the Veylo Platform can be deployed inside an agency's own boundary, in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government or on premises. Agencies can also access the Veylo Platform through system integrator partners and existing contract vehicles.
"Agencies can't afford to wait years to modernize the systems their missions depend on," said Growson Edwards, CEO and co-founder of Veylo. "I've spent three decades building technology for federal and state government, and the biggest barrier has never been the will to modernize. It's been the time, risk and cost of getting there, and of getting the new system accredited. FedRAMP High lets us bring the full modernization lifecycle, with the evidence accreditors ask for built in, to the agencies with the most sensitive workloads. We built our plan to get there quickly without cutting corners on security."
Roadmap and availability
FedRAMP High is the first step in Veylo's federal security roadmap. Once Veylo completes its FedRAMP Class D effort, the company intends to invest in Department of Defense Impact Level 5 (IL5) and Impact Level 6 (IL6) accreditation, extending the Veylo Platform to defense and national security missions that handle controlled unclassified and classified information.
"FedRAMP High opens the door to civilian agencies, but our ambition is broader," Edwards added. "Defense and national security organizations carry some of the largest legacy modernization backlogs in government, and IL5 and IL6 are how we will meet them where they work."
